How to Use

The courses are delivered in a case-based, interactive; text-and-image format. The cases are organized into a random numeric sequence. Cases may be accessed directly from the Case Index or from navigation buttons within each case. The case presentation begins with a clinical history. Corresponding questions, answers, discussions, examples, selected readings, and images relating to the case will follow with the click on the forward yellow arrow. On a question page, this forward arrow will only appear if that question has been answered correctly.

Each case typically contains several questions and images. Questions may be presented in one of the following formats: True & False, multiple choice (there may be one or more correct answers), Q & A, or image mapping. The possible answer links are listed under their corresponding questions. A complete answer indicating if it is CORRECT or INCORRECT appears when clicking on the answer link. (Note: the forward yellow arrow will only appear if the CORRECT answer is selected). The image mapping questions require you to identify the area of interest by clicking onto the area of the image. You will be given three opportunities to correctly identify the location of importance. If, after three tries, you have not made the correct selection, the answer will be provided.

Clicking onto the yellow, underlined text links will display new related images or annotations to an image. Following the questions, you may be presented with a more in-depth discussion or other related examples. When you reach the end of a case, you are offered the option to Replay Case or advance to the Next Case. After completing a case, a diagnosis of that case will be revealed in the Case Index page.

You can log out at anytime to terminate the session. When you log out, you will be informed on how many cases you have completed and how much time you have left to complete the course.

Point to areas of interest for description.
